Live and Direct offers a unique opportunity to Black and Asian theatre directors, and those who want to try their hand at directing to gain a better overall understanding of theatre. Contact and the Arts Council have collaborated to train and promote the most dynamic Black and Asian theatre directors of the future.
You will get chance to work with 10 of the hottest established theatre artists in master classes on this intensive course that covers everything from the practical how to schedule a production, to the creative solutions when working with actors. The emerging directors will also get to put on 10-minute productions, with full rehearsal periods, at Contact in January 2008.
You’d join alumni of past graduates who have gone on to work at the Royal Court, Royal Exchange, Contact, West Yorkshire Playhouse, The Traverse, Nitro, Tara Arts, Soho and many more.
