Bare Feet make physical, comic and inventive theatre, frequently with a social or political angle. It utilises the many tools available including dance, mime, mask and music wrapped in a bold and lively design.
One element of Bare Feet is the influence of of tribal ceremonies and traditional Zambian rituals as a source of inspiration and communication.
The aim of any Bare Feet performance is to make the event as totally theatrical as possible whether performing in a refugee camp or at the National Theatre of Zambia. It makes theatre intended to inspire or provoke change but also as entertainment and as a voice for untold stories.
