Since 1977 Junges Theater Basel has done exactly what its name promised: provided a place for Basel’s young people to come together and create theatre.
They put on two shows a season an their work is shown in Basel, across Switzerland and, increasingly, on an international stage. Young people are involved in all levels of the company including directing, costumes, music, lighting, stage management and writing. For Contacting The World they are interested in creating work reflecting power structures in society.
