A night less ordinary

FREE Theatre Tickets!

Monday 16 February to Thursday 31 December Various

FREE

Contact will be giving away FREE tickets to young people under 26 from February 2009 as part of the Free Ticket Initiative.

Contact has been successful in our application to Arts Council England's A Night Less Ordinary free tickets initiative. What this means in a nutshell is that as of 16 February 2009, we will be able to give away free tickets to young people under 26!

The two-year Government initiative was first revealed in September 2008 by Andy Burnham (Secretary of State for Culture, Media & Sport) who came to Contact during his visit to Manchester for the Labour Party Conference.

Theatres across the country were invited to apply for funding, with 99 theatres having been successful and Contact was one of them.

From 16 February 2009 until 2011 we will be giving away free tickets to any young person under 26 for any theatre performance on any day, on a first come, first served basis. We will be offering up to 100 free tickets every week.

What do I need to do now?

If you are under 26 please download a registration form here and return by post or in person to: FreeAct, Contact, Oxford Road, Manchester M15 6JA, along with a photocopy of proof of age (passport, student ID, driving license etc) to get FREE theatre tickets from 16 February! Alternatively please return via email to freetickets@contact-theatre.org, along with a scanned copy of ID,

Then download or Spring season here and start thinking about what you want to come see!

It's a new year of exciting new theatre - come and join us!

PLEASE NOTE:

THE REGISTRATION PROCESS CAN TAKE UP TO 14 DAYS TO COMPLETE DUE TO THE SHEER VOLUME OF APPLICATIONS WE HAVE RECEIVED. PLEASE ALLOW FOR ENOUGH TIME FROM APPLYING TO DATE OF PERFORMANCE TO AVOID DISAPPOINTMENT IF YOU WANT TO BOOK FREE TICKETS FOR SPECIFIC SHOWS.
