Raspberry Visual Art Workshop
Saturday 24 April 1:00pm to 3:00pm
FREE to ticket holders
To complement and support the project and themes raised in the performances of Raspberry, Tanya Raabe will deliver a visual art workshop session to a range of groups, with a range of abilities
-
Participants will be using wet and dry mix media materials, projection based processes and audio narrative to explore what we see as 'perfection' and 'perfectability' in our modern lives.
-
Participants will be creating expressive, abstract, literal muses of ourselves and /or others.
-
Participants will explore how we see ourselves and how others see us in terms of our own 'perfectability'.
-
Participants will turn these ideas upside down and transform 'perfection and perfectability' into a freeform ideal questioning whether 'normality' is 'perfectability' and is there 'beauty in who you are' as you are!
Tanya will also be in situ during rehearsals for RaspberryRaspberry and painting a series of portraits to form a later touring exhibition of artists in the production. She will also be using the results of this visual documentation to produce an animation that can be presented in situ, in foyer spaces etc before and during the periodis being presented.
This workshop is FREE to ticket holders to the performances of Raspberry on either Friday or Saturday. Places are strictly limited and must be booked when booking your tickets via 0161 274 0600.
